There are literally hundreds of products and whitening systems on the market today and virtually no way to find the best one besides trying them all. 1. Toothpaste

Instead of a principal treatment you should only trust the toothpaste as a maintenance routine. Whitening toothpastes are essentially heavily saturated with abrasive material and peroxide. Each in and of itself are not enough to whiten your teeth but when both are compounded you should see some moderate effects.

Two brands of toothpaste, which you will be able to use in your overall whitening systems are Aquafresh and Colgate. Each producer appears to have different toothpastes for every ailment known to man. Just find the one that claims to handle discolored teeth and you will in all likelihood be all right.

Grapefruit seed extract toothpaste ought to be included in you whitening systems primary repertoire. This has been shown to be very effect in battling a case of blemished teeth. Though not as usual in the common toothpastes, with a little bit of looking you can find it and include it in your whitening systems. If you can try and find a toothpaste that doesn’t contain fluoride then do so. Fluoride is a harmful chemical and does nothing to stave off tooth decay.

2. Strips

Any complete whitening system will most likely include whitening strips. These are placed on the upper and lower teeth and contain a whitening agent. Once again these can be very irritating if you have sensitive teeth and gums. If yo are going to use these as part of your whitening system then try and use a brand that is for sensitive teeth. You should be able to find these at your local pharmacy.
